Description

This is a unique opportunity to join our team and help deliver automation, governance, and service improvement initiatives that enable us and our customers to scale and grow. In this role you will improve efficiency, reduce operational effort, and support meaningful project outcomes. What You’ll Do No two days will look the same, but your focus will be on: Designing and implementing cloud infrastructure using Terraform.Developing, maintaining, and improving automation pipelines and system integrations.Evaluating and recommending cloud services that meet technical, business, security, and cost requirements.Implementing security controls and support SecOps initiatives.Collaborating with customer delivery, security, and operations teams to support successful outcomes.Supporting platform reliability, observability, performance, and cost efficiency.Contributing to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.Documenting solutions and promote reusable best practices across the team. What We’re Looking For Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure, with a strong understanding of compute, storage, networking, IAM, monitoring services, security tools, cost impacts, optimisation, and service-selection trade-offs.Advanced experience with Terraform.Ability to build reusable modules and manage environments across development, test, and production.Proficiency in Git, scripting, and coding languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar.Experience building automation workflows, monitoring and alerting, system integrations such as APIs and event-driven automation, and developing solutions with or without AI coding assistants.Exposure to managed services environments.Experience managing enterprise CI/CD platforms, such as Azure DevOps or GitHub, used by multiple teams.Understanding of reliability, observability tools such as Grafana, and SRE principles.Experience with IT Service Management, including ITSM tools such as Jira Service Management, and familiarity with change, incident, and problem management processes.Relevant certifications are advantageous, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified Developer – Associate, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.The legal right to work in New Zealand, or the ability to independently obtain the legal right to work in New Zealand. It Would Be Advantageous If You Have Experience working within or alongside SecOps teams, with familiarity in cloud security best practices, vulnerability management and patching, security monitoring and alerting tools such as Azure Defender or AWS Security Hub, and incident response and remediation workflows.
