About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Specialist to join our dynamic team at BWI GmbH. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the maintenance, modernization, and security of our extensive IT infrastructure. Your expertise will help ensure the stability and resilience of our systems, enabling the Bundeswehr to operate seamlessly in both routine and deployment scenarios. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Qualifications A completed degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Proven experience in managing large-scale IT infrastructures, preferably within a defense or government environment.Strong knowledge of network architecture, cybersecurity principles, and system administration.Experience with virtualization, cloud services, and IT service management frameworks such as ITIL.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.Fluent in German and proficient in English, both written and spoken.Security clearance or the eligibility to obtain one is highly desirable. Responsibilities Maintain, monitor, and optimize the performance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems.Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.Assist in the planning and execution of infrastructure modernization projects.Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to internal teams and end-users.Participate in disaster recovery planning and system backups to ensure business continuity.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative IT solutions aligned with organizational goals.Document system configurations, procedures, and incident reports to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base.
