We are seeking a motivated DevOps Engineer to join our mid-sized, highly technical team at Cove.
In this role, you will be a key contributor to our platform’s evolution, taking ownership of site reliability and operational excellence while collaborating closely with talented engineers to drive scalable, robust solutions.

Role Description
This is a mid-level, full-time, hybrid role.
Located in Manly, NSW with a minimum of 2 days a week on-site in the office.
Responsible for:
Ownership of the site reliability of the platform.Platform operational ownership.Ensure best practices around DevOps.Take ownership of requirements, including proposing, evaluating and driving solutions through to completion, delivering a platform for software that is ready for production.Provide recommendations for monitoring and improving the platform over time and work with development teams to implement them.Continuously learn new technologies and practices.Approach solving problems logically, researching options and focusing on meaningful data to draw insights.Anticipate consequences, both intended and unintended.
Knowledgeable in:
AWS, GitHub CI/CD, Terraform, Python, Google Workspace
Qualifications
Must hold the right to work in Australia.Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for automating and managing infrastructure.Experience in AWS infrastructure, with other cloud providers considered a plus.Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and deployment processes, ideally using GitHub Actions.Experience with Google Workspace would be a plus.In-depth knowledge of System Administration, including troubleshooting and optimising system performance.Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams across timezones.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
