Software Engineer (Healthcare) at BairesDev As a Software Engineer (Healthcare), you will develop and maintain high-quality systems that adhere to the strict regulatory standards of the medical industry. You will ensure that healthcare applications are secure, interoperable, and capable of handling sensitive patient data with the highest level of integrity. What You'll Do Architect and implement HIPAA-compliant backend systems to ensure the secure handling of Protected Health Information (PHI). Develop and maintain integrations with major Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms such as Epic, Cerner, and AthenaHealth. Facilitate healthcare data exchange by implementing and optimizing HL7 and FHIR messaging standards. Design and manage robust audit logging mechanisms to monitor system access and maintain regulatory compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex healthcare requirements into scalable and reliable software solutions. Ensure the continuous security and performance of health tech platforms through proactive monitoring and rigorous testing protocols. What We Are Looking For 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on Healthcare. Proven expertise in building HIPAA-compliant systems and PHI handling. Hands-on experience with EHR integrations and HL7/FHIR standards. Proficiency in implementing audit logging and security protocols for health data. Advanced proficiency in English.
