As a Senior Software Engineer on the Integrations team, you'll design and build the systems that connect ZoomInfo's platform to the ecosystem of CRM, MAP, and external eco-systems that our customers depend on. You'll work on highly scalable backend services that power reliable, real-time data sync and API integrations across millions of records — enabling seamless connectivity between ZoomInfo and platforms like Salesforce, HubSpot, and Microsoft Dynamics 365. You'll leverage technologies like Kafka, Confluent Cloud, Node.js/NestJS, and modern API and authentication standards to build resilient, observable, and fault-tolerant integration services. Your work will be foundational to how ZoomInfo's data reaches customers and connects with the tools at the center of their go-to-market stack. What You Will Do Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js (NestJS). Java (Spring Boot) is a plusDevelop and manage our platform integrations layer, handling connectivity, data ingestion, and exports between ZoomInfo's data layer and third-party integrationsDesign systems for reliable job execution, retries, state management, and long-running processesImplement orchestration patterns for complex, multi-step business processesDesign and maintain APIs and internal services that integrate with external systemsBuild observability into systems (logging, tracing, metrics) to monitor integration health and performanceEnsure high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability of backend systems handling large volumes of eventsOptimize system performance, throughput, and latency across distributed systemsTroubleshoot and resolve production issues in complex, asynchronous systemsLead medium to large-scale feature development, working independently while coordinating with cross-functional teamsCollaborate with product and platform teams to define integration requirements and execution guarantees (SLAs/SLOs)Participate in agile development processes, sprint planning, and technical discussionsProvide technical mentorship and conduct thorough code reviews to elevate team capabilitiesStay current with emerging technologies and evaluate new tools for potential adoptionSupport production systems through monitoring, troubleshooting, and reliability improvements What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend systemsStrong experience with Java (Spring Boot) and/or Node.js (NestJS)Experience building integrations with CRM or MAP platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Microsoft Dynamics 365Familiarity with no-code/low-code integration platforms (e.g., Fivetran, Zapier, or similar)Solid understanding of authentication and authorization protocols including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, and JWTExperience with third-party API patterns — rate limiting, pagination, error handling, and data transformation pipelinesProficiency with MongoDB and comfort working across relational and NoSQL data storesExperience designing and implementing RESTful and webhook-based APIs with strong grasp of versioning, reliability, and backward compatibilitySolid understanding of software architecture patterns, cloud platforms, databases, and distributed systems conceptsProven experience with performance optimization, security best practices, and scalable system designDemonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, production-quality code and conduct effective code reviewsStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex technical issues and implement robust solutionsExcellent communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience with agile development methodologies, version control systems, and CI/CD practices This role is a hybrid position, with the option to work from home on Mondays & Fridays. The US base salary range for this position is $140,000.00 - $200,000.00 + variable compensation + benefits. Actual compensation offered will be based on factors such as the candidate's work location, qualifications, skills, experience and/or training.
