About Geocento Geocento is a small and dynamic space technology company based in the UK and Spain. Our mission is to enable large organisations to integrate imagery of our planet into their operations for enhanced situational awareness, at a time when there are unprecedented global challenges and risks. In some cases, our clients require imagery quickly for rapid situational awareness where threats are serious and wide-ranging and so need to be as efficient as possible. In other cases, our clients are not experts in earth observation and struggle with knowing how to deploy the data in an optimal fashion for their applications. To assist with both of these cases, we are looking to leverage AI in the next launch of our services, and are looking for two experienced software engineers to play a key role in realising this vision. Role expectations: Make significant technical and business contributions.Tackle complex problems on both technical and product fronts.Work closely with a small team, bringing creativity, resourcefulness, and proactivity.Help move AI capabilities from prototype into production services that improve search, ordering, operations, and customer workflows. What we’re looking for Essential 5+ years of professional software engineering experienceStrong analytical mindset: problem-solving, critical thinking, logical reasoning, and attention to detailExperience as a full-stack engineer with applied AI (integration with LLMs, hands-on RAG experience, ideally knowledge of CLIP, MCP…).UK resident, or eligible and willing to be UK residentExcellent written and spoken EnglishAutonomous, innovative thinker who can operate with limited directionCollaborative, proactive, and comfortable in a small teamAble and willing to travel internationally from time to timeAvailable to start within 3 months of offer.Technical proficiency Strong experience in Java and Python, plus solid web technologiesExperience of building AI into real systems Solid understanding of cloud technologies, especially AWS and KubernetesBasic knowledge of DevOps practicesFamiliarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum or similar)Desirable Experience with Earth Observation and/or geographic information systemsNational of a NATO member countryAvailable to start within a 6 weeks of offer Next steps If you’re an autonomous, innovative engineer ready to take on exciting challenges and help revolutionise access to earth observation, we would love to hear from you.
