About The Role We are excited to invite a talented Software Engineer Digital Solutions to join our Digital Solutions team at WashTec. This role is based at our headquarters in Augsburg and is offered on a full-time basis with a flexible work arrangement requiring three days on-site per week. As a Software Engineer Digital Solutions, you will be instrumental in developing modern digital solutions tailored for diverse stakeholders including customers, operators, service technicians, and internal departments. You will oversee the entire product lifecycle—from initial concept to operational deployment—contributing to innovative products that enhance user experience and operational efficiency. Your work will directly impact our global offerings, ensuring they remain at the forefront of the industry’s technological advancements. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in computer science or a related field, with proven experience in agile software development as a full-stack developer. Experience in mobile application development is highly desirable. You should be proficient with modern software architectures and cloud technologies, including TypeScript, React, Node.js, REST APIs, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL), Docker, Kubernetes, and related DevSecOps practices is essential. Additional skills in React Native, Firebase, ASP.NET Core, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and microservices architecture will be advantageous. You should demonstrate a commitment to high-quality coding standards, scalable architecture, and sustainable development practices. Excellent communication skills in German and English are required, along with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities Your primary responsibilities will include designing and developing intuitive, user-friendly digital applications that meet the needs of our diverse user base. You will create new functionalities for mobile apps, cloud backends, and web portals, ensuring seamless integration and performance. Developing and maintaining APIs and digital services will be a core part of your role, along with designing scalable cloud-based applications and microservices. You will implement automated testing procedures, manage CI/CD pipelines, and oversee the operational stability, monitoring, and continuous improvement of our solutions. Participating in architectural decision-making, integrating third-party systems, and applying security-by-design principles will be integral to your work. Collaboration with business units, product management, UX specialists, and other development teams will enable you to develop innovative solutions that deliver real value to our customers and stakeholders.
