Description

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will work as part of a dedicated DevOps team designing, maintaining, and enhancing cloud-native infrastructure that supports data science workloads. You’ll collaborate with multiple development teams with deploying and maintaining time-series forecasting and generative AI applications. The role focuses on building reliable, secure, and observable platform in GCP using Kubernetes, IaC, and automated CI/CD pipelines. Your responsibilities will include: Working in a distributed DevOps team across multiple locations using agile practicesSupporting the design and operation of core infrastructure on GCP for data science and Python-based ML/AI workloadsMaintaining and improving Kubernetes environments with Helm and ArgoCDDeveloping and reviewing Terraform modules and cloud configurationsManaging GitLab CI/CD pipelines across applications, infrastructure, and ML projectsImplementing and optimizing autoscaling strategies for workloads and clustersEnsuring robust observability across monitoring, logging, and tracing using Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and TempoTroubleshooting issues across cloud, container, networking, and application layersEnhancing platform reliability, cost efficiency, and developer experienceEducating developers and data scientists on best practices and relevant parts of the technology stack What we expect from you: Fluent English; German is a plusMinimum 4 years of professional experience in DevOps or related rolesBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related fieldStrong expertise with at least one major cloud provider (GCP preferred; AWS/Azure acceptable)Experience in any public cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure) - GCP is preferredExtensive experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm charts, and container-based production systemsUnderstanding basic security concepts and helping to identify and mitigate common vulnerabilitiesSolid hands-on proficiency with Terraform, Helm and GitOps tools such as ArgoCDStrong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitLab CIProficiency in Unix/Linux administration, shell scripting, and practical networking fundamentalsExperience with monitoring and observability solutions (Grafana stack; ELK also relevant)Familiarity with autoscaling concepts (HPA/VPA, KEDA, cluster autoscaler)Experience with relational and document databases, such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB, is a plus What will you gain: We want you to know that we value our employees and want to provide you with more than just a job.
