About The Role We are seeking a skilled Java Softwareentwickler (Java Software Developer) for Web and GIS Applications to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing modern web applications and software modules utilizing Java, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You will work closely with product management and clients to craft technical solutions that meet project specifications and user needs. Additionally, you will assist in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of our solutions, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Your expertise will also support our colleagues and clients by providing technical advice on software development and system architecture. Throughout the development process, you will contribute to innovative software projects, helping RIWA GmbH maintain its leadership in geoinformation technology. Qualifications The ideal candidate holds a completed degree in computer science, information technology, or a comparable qualification. Experience in object-oriented software development, particularly in Java, is essential. Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases is required. Familiarity with HTML and JavaScript is necessary, with additional knowledge of frameworks such as JQuery or VueJS considered advantageous. A passion for modern software development and emerging technologies is important, along with enthusiasm for teamwork and agile methodologies like Scrum. Excellent command of the German language, both written and spoken (minimum C1 level), is also required to effectively communicate within the team and with clients.
