About the Team: Working remotely and reporting to the Director of Cloud Infrastructure, as an AWS WorkSpaces Engineer, you will be the primary architect and administrator of our cloud desktop infrastructure. You will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of AWS WorkSpaces—from large-scale deployment and image management to high-level escalation support. Your goal is to deliver a seamless, high-performing virtual desktop experience, driving cost efficiencies and technical excellence across the organisation. You will provide seamless Tier 1 to Tier 3 support to resolve immediate end-user challenges while simultaneously engineering our AWS infrastructure that prevents those issues from recurring. You will own "Day 1 & 2" onboarding and optimization of our global AWS WorkSpaces experience to ensure a high-performance, cost-effective, and secure workspace for every employee. Responsibilities: Deploy AWS Workspaces in multiple AWS accountsDiagnose, troubleshooting configuration issues with AWS Workspaces which are not operating as expectedDistinguish between application, operating system, network, and hardware problemsPresent complex technical information to non-technical audiencesCollaborate with AWS CloudsOps engineering teams to evaluate and develop scalable AWS solutions to better access resources in AWS accountsProvide users with support on technical, operational, and user/account-related issues, on the phone, by email/ticketing system or in personAttend meetings with multiple stakeholders to ensure requirements are assessed and deliverables are on targetEvaluate ways to provide Amazon Workspaces as a cost-effective and efficient offeringEducate the wider team on best practices and provide high levels of service.Coordinate with other departments to ensure that you meet timely and efficient resolutions and uphold customer satisfaction.Maintain proper tracking of problem resolution and conduct trend analysis for reference and management reporting Qualifications: Candidates should ideally hold one of the certifications below: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - AssociateAWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Your Competencies: Deep understanding of AWS Cloud infrastructure, operating at scaleAbility to review, understand and extract data from Nuvens Workspace Manager or equivalent endpoint management solutionPrior experience administering Windows and Active Directory is essential (AWS hosted Active Directory a plus!)Experience in the development and revisions of Training Presentations, Quick Reference Guides and Other Support MaterialsStrong Customer Service & communication skills, both telephone and emailCan work with minimal supervision, prioritising work within tight deadlinesPrevious AWS console and Synchronet Click administration is a big plusExperience creating Windows images, Linux/Ubuntu deployments, and troubleshooting both OS platformsAvailability for out of hours support if required Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
