Software Engineer

This role is a part of CentralNic’s IT function, which provides the highest standards of performance, availability and security. As a full service provider, we develop individual project solutions in partnership with our clients by relying on long-standing experience in the fields Internet, networks and high availability solutions. The role of the Software Engineer will support organic growth, by being in charge of software, projects and technical excellence Key outcomes of the role The design and implementation of web-based application systems based on PHP, Symfony & Javascript Frameworks (i.e. ReactJS)Independent design of microservices in the domain environmentDesign and implementation of rational and noSQL data infrastructures (MySQL, ElasticSearch)Requirement analysis and consulting of the project manager / product ownerDocumentation of work results in common tools like Confluence and JiraImplementation of individual customer requirements and feature requestsCarrying out code reviews and code refactoringImplementation of interfaces to third-party systems based on SOAP/REST as well as domain-specific protocols (EPP)Maintenance and second-level support for completed implementation projectsParticipation in 24/7 on-call serviceMeetings and coordination with other departmentsCoaching and actively assisting teammatesActively designing and improving our development processes and CI/CD pipeline. About You More than 3 years experience with LAMPMore than 3 years experience with PHP and PHP frameworks like SymfonyExtensive knowledge with DatabasesSolid experience with SOAP/RESTExcellent ability to document and present complex ideas to a variety of audiencesExperience in ISP, hosting or DNS industry would be beneficialExperience developing backend systems as well as frontend components for internet applications would be valuable.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels What’s in it for you?
