About the RoleWe are building a modern cloud platform that powers mission-critical satellite communications and real-time services for customers around the world.
Our engineering team develops distributed systems that process high volumes of events, orchestrate cloud services, integrate with multiple satellite and technology providers, and deliver reliable operational tools for internal teams and customers.
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, designing scalable backend systems, and taking ownership of software from initial requirements through production operations.
You will help build and improve services across our platform including customer operations, billing, notifications, document management, reporting, and third-party integrations.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs.Build scalable Python applications using FastAPI or similar frameworks.Design event-driven workflows using Kafka and asynchronous processing.Develop reliable integrations with satellite providers and other external platforms.Create clear API contracts and maintain technical documentation.Design data models and work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and BigQuery.Build services that support device onboarding, provisioning, capacity management, and operational workflows.Improve the reliability, performance, security, and maintainability of existing systems.Write automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.Review code and provide constructive feedback to other engineers.Investigate production incidents and implement permanent corrective actions.Work with product, operations, support, and other internal teams to clarify requirements.Mentor engineers and promote strong software engineering practices.Contribute to architecture discussions and technical standards.Take ownership of assigned projects through development, release, and production support.Required Qualifications7+ years of professional software engineering experience.Strong understanding of object-oriented design and software architecture.Strong Python development experience.Experience building production APIs and backend services.Experience with FastAPI, Django, Flask, or a similar Python framework.Experience designing and operating microservices or distributed systems.Experience with asynchronous and event-driven architectures.Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.Experience writing efficient SQL and troubleshooting data-related issues.Experience with Docker and containerized applications.Experience working with Kubernetes-based production environments.Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform.Strong understanding of API security, authentication, and authorization.Experience troubleshooting production systems.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.Preferred QualificationsExperience with:
