Senior Software Engineer
A fantastic opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join a world-class technology company developing advanced AI-driven software solutions.
Working within an exceptional engineering environment, you will play a key role in designing, building and enhancing highly sophisticated software platforms that solve complex real-world problems.
This organisation is known for attracting some of the brightest technical minds in the industry and places a strong emphasis on both academic excellence and engineering capability.
Location: Cambridge or London (minimum 2 days per week in the office)
Salary: £75,000 - £80,000 per annum + 15% bonus + benefits
Requirements for Senior Software Engineer:
Strong commercial software engineering experience using PythonExperience designing, developing and maintaining production-quality software systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to lead technical projects and contribute to architectural decisionsExperience mentoring and supporting other engineersComfortable working independently whilst collaborating within highly technical teamsExperience working with Docker and containerisation technologiesKnowledge of cloud computing environments would be beneficialExperience with technologies such as JavaScript, Rust and C++ would be advantageousStrong understanding of software engineering best practices, code quality and system scalabilityDegree educated in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or a closely related STEM disciplineStrong academic background, typically including a 2:1 or 1st class degree and BBB or above at A-Level (or international equivalent)

Design, develop and enhance innovative software products and platformsLead technical projects from concept through to deploymentContribute to the architecture and design of complex software systemsCollaborate with engineers, researchers and technical specialists across multiple disciplinesAnalyse and solve challenging technical problemsSupport the evaluation and prototyping of new ideas and technologiesMentor junior members of the engineering team and promote engineering best practiceContribute to the ongoing improvement of software performance, reliability and scalabilityHelp shape the future direction of products through technical expertise and innovation
