Description

Infrastructure and Cloud Engineer DGH Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading client in the Professional Services industry who require a Infrastructure and Cloud Engineer to join the firm in London. Please note: This role can be performed on a fully remote basis. You should have in-depth experience architecting, implementing, optimizing and troubleshooting enterprise scale server environments including cloud based, hybrid and on-prem deployments. Responsibilities: Research, evaluate, and recommend technical solutions to address business challengesArchitect, engineer, and deploy to production technical solutions including detailed architectural designed documentationWork closely with Information Security team to ensure systems meet all best practice and compliance requirementsTransition systems from engineering to Operations teams by providing documentation and training to technical staff.Lead technical projects and sub projects across the departmentServe as subject matter expert and internal consultant to other technical staff and groupsBe the top level responsible party for escalated support, working directly with external vendors and consultants to resolve issues and produce root cause analysis reportsEfficiently triage and prioritize tasks, projects and issues in a highly demanding environment Required Technical Expertise: Broad understanding and ability to execute various industry standards for infrastructure technologies.Expert understanding of storage and virtualization technologies, OS (Windows and Linux), Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery and other infrastructure related technologies.Solid troubleshooting skills for the infrastructure.Storage and Virtualization experience with Nutanix, Linux, Proxmox, Azure etc. preferred.Solid understanding of PowerShell and general scripting/automationSolid understanding of implementing proper health/status monitoring for mission critical systemsGood understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) in a hybrid environment so to integrate Infrastructure technologies.Good understanding of networking to help troubleshoot problems.High level understanding of security technologies such as encryption (in flight and at rest), privilege management, CIS compliance etc. Infrastructure and Cloud Engineer
