Description
We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!
The Role
• Provide technical leadership for a modern web platform utilizing Angular/React, Java (Quarkus, Spring Boot), and Python, integrating with relational databases, event streaming (Kafka), and industry standards.
• Co-own the technical roadmap with Product Management, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Lead a cross-functional engineering team, elevating technical standards and ensuring adherence to architectural and quality practices.
• Drive AI-native advancements on the platform, designing agents, skills, and workflows to deliver tangible value for healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with architecture, security, and other product teams to ensure consistency, reusability, and clear interfaces across an integrated solution portfolio.
• Coach and mentor engineers, fostering ownership, proactivity, and a modern engineering culture to build a high-performing, self-organized team.
What You'll Need
• Several years of senior-level experience in engineering modern web applications, with proven technical leadership and end-to-end responsibility for production systems.
• A university degree (ideally Master's) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable technical field with excellent academic performance.
• Strong proficiency in a modern core stack including React/Angular, Java Spring Boot (ideally Quarkus experience), Python, Kafka, and Terraform.
• Expertise in cloud and DevOps practices (e.g., Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD) and distributed, scalable systems.
• Demonstrated effective use of AI in software engineering, preferably with agentic coding tools (agents, skills, workflows), and experience with AI pipelines, harnesses, and context engineering for secure AI-first functionality integration.
• Fluency in both German and English, strong problem-solving skills, innovative mindset, high proactivity, a clear entrepreneurial spirit, and alignment with the healthcare mission.
