GIS/GeoAI Engineer

GIS/GeoAI Engineer Amudar.io builds AI-powered IoT for smart agriculture — used by global organizations, banks, research institutions, and users across Uzbekistan. We're hiring a GIS engineer to build the geospatial backbone of our platform: turning satellite tiles, drone orthomosaics, and ground-station data into maps and reports. What you'll do: - Build backend pipelines that pull Sentinel-1/2, Landsat, and commercial satellite imagery on schedule; - Fuse imagery with sensor data coming from more than 300 weather stations across Uzbekistan, and build irrigation, LULC, crop monitoring, soil degradation, anomaly maps, frost / drought / pest risk maps. - Design interactive maps and dashboards: tile-served raster layers, vector field boundaries, user annotations, time-series overlays. - Use GeoAI models for segmentation, classification, and change detection - Integrate everything cleanly into the existing Amudar.io platform. What we expect: - Strong with PostGIS, GDAL/OGR, GeoPandas, rasterio / xarray, STAC, COG, Zarr, vector tiles / PMTiles. - Comfortable with tile servers (TiTiler, GeoServer, MapServer) and frontend map libs (Leaflet, MapLibre / Mapbox GL, OpenLayers, deck.gl). - Familiar with EO data platforms: Sentinel Hub, Google Earth Engine - Hands-on with SAM / samgeo, torchgeo, raster-vision, geospatial foundation models, and modern segmentation / change-detection models satellite imagery. - High ownership: see a problem, design the fix, ship it, integrate it with the existing platform.
