Description

Most companies struggle with internal software interfaces that are confusing, outdated, or fundamentally broken. We spend our time fixing these friction points so employees can actually get their work done without fighting their tools. The role We are looking for a Junior UI Engineer to support an engagement with a partner software firm. In this role, you will focus on cleaning up the interfaces of internal financial tools to ensure that data displays correctly and workflows remain logical. This is a fully remote position where you will help bridge the gap between complex backend data and the people who need to use it every day. What you will do Audit existing internal dashboards to identify where users experience friction or layout errors. Update HTML and CSS to fix visual bugs and alignment issues in legacy applications. Refine form fields and validation messages to help prevent user data entry errors. Work with the team to map out how data travels from the database to the user interface. Document all interface changes clearly so the partner team can maintain the system after we leave. Test component updates across different browsers to ensure they perform consistently for every user. Review system logs and user feedback to find the most common interface complaints. Assist in moving manual spreadsheet processes into structured internal web tools. What we are looking for Basic proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, even if gained through personal projects or studies. A logical approach to solving problems and a curiosity about how business systems work. The ability to explain technical problems and solutions in plain, clear English. Strong attention to detail when checking margins, font consistency, and color usage. A willingness to look through older codebases to understand how a tool was originally built. The habit of asking questions when a requirement or a process is not fully clear. An interest in the unglamorous but vital work of making internal business operations run better. What we offer A fully remote work environment that values focus and respects your personal time. Attractive pay for an entry level position that is competitive within the current market. Direct experience working on complex system migrations and real world business problems. Mentorship from senior practitioners who prefer clear logic over corporate jargon. A working culture that prioritizes high quality written documentation over frequent meetings. The chance to see the immediate result of your work as internal processes become more stable. Access to the necessary software tools and resources to perform your tasks effectively. Tech Pipeline operates differently than most consultancies. We avoid abstract strategy and focus on the practical work of fixing what is broken. Because we are a remote first team, we rely heavily on written updates and clear documentation to keep everyone informed. Our goal is to stabilize a process, ensure the team can run it without us, and then move on to the next challenge. We value people who are direct, honest about what they find in the logs, and more interested in a working system than a slide deck.
