Systems Engineering Advisor

Role Description The Systems Engineering Advisor at TenneT Netherlands is a full-time hybrid role based in Arnhem, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. In this position, the advisor designs, implements, and optimizes systems and tools that support TenneT’s operational and strategic processes. Day-to-day activities include analyzing business and technical requirements, translating them into robust software solutions, and maintaining existing systems to ensure reliability and performance. The advisor collaborates with cross-functional teams, prepares technical documentation, and provides guidance on best practices for data management and system integration. The role also involves troubleshooting complex issues, proposing improvements to workflows and architectures, and contributing to continuous enhancement of digital solutions within the organization. Qualifications Strong software development skills, with experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining production-ready systems.Solid understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirement analysis, system design, testing, and lifecycle management.Experience working in hybrid environments and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, ideally in the energy or infrastructure sector.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on reliability and security.Effective communication skills in English; proficiency in Dutch is an advantage.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
