Role Description
The Blockchain Developer will design, develop, and maintain blockchain-based applications and smart contracts, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.
Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing secure transaction logic, integrating blockchain components with back-end services, and collaborating with product and design teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
The role also involves reviewing and optimizing existing codebases, researching emerging blockchain protocols and tools, and contributing to technical documentation and best practices.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Montreal, QC, working closely with colleagues in a lab-style environment.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Blockchain and Zero Knowledge Proof, with practical experience building decentralized applications or smart contracts.Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, including experience with server-side languages, APIs, and databases.Knowledge of Cryptography principles and secure coding practices relevant to blockchain systems.Familiarity with common blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Polygon, Solana) and smart contract languages (e.g., Rust) is highly beneficial.Experience with version control (Git), testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.Ability to analyze complex technical problems, write clean and maintainable code, and collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Comfort working on-site in Montreal, QC and communicating in English; French proficiency is an asset.
