FullStack Engineer
2 year extendable contract Abu Dhabi | Office based
We are seeking a highly motivated Full-Stack Engineer to join our client's growing Data & AI team.
This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of an AI-powered platform running in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
The successful candidate will combine strong backend engineering expertise with cloud infrastructure and DevOps capabilities, taking ownership of deployment pipelines, cloud environments, observability, cost optimization, and platform reliability.
Working closely with AI and frontend engineers, you will help deliver innovative AI-driven products and services at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that support AI-powered applications.
Build scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions using modern software engineering practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration across platform components.
Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure.
Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
Own CI/CD pipelines, including build, test, deployment, release, and rollback automation.
Provision and manage development, testing, and production environments.
Establish monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability across all platform services.
Investigate production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
Drive continuous improvements in platform reliability, availability, and performance.
Implement cloud security best practices across networking, identity management, secrets management, and deployment processes.
Support DevSecOps initiatives and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Manage access controls and operational governance across environments.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
4-7 years of experience in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or related roles.
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud architecture.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
Proficiency in backend development using technologies such as Python, Node.js, or TypeScript.
Experience building and supporting microservices-based architectures.
Hands-on expertise with Docker, containers, and Kubernetes-based platforms such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Experience with monitoring and observability tools including Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Grafana, or similar solutions.
Knowledge of cloud security, DevSecOps, governance, and cost management practices.
