You'll set technical direction for a TypeScript frontend platform serving a large data-intensive engineering program.
This is a hands-on role: you'll write code, own architecture, and raise the ceiling for a team of ~6 engineers.
Expect to work directly with backend, product, and end users.
What you'll do
Co-own architecture for a React/TypeScript/Next.js application backed by gRPC/protobuf servicesDrive design of data-access layers (BFF/API boundaries, caching, pagination, streaming) where payload size and memory pressure are real constraintsSet and enforce standards across a Turborepo monorepo: shared packages, versioning, build/CI performance, dependency hygieneLead technical design reviews; write the design docs and white papers that anchor themDiagnose hard problems: memory exhaustion, render performance, pipeline issuesMentor engineers across levels and enable the team to work fasterWork directly with customers and stakeholders to shape requirements, then decompose them into scoped, estimable work
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
6+ years building production software; 4+ in TypeScript/JavaScript and NodeDeep React experience, including performance profiling and state/data-fetching architecture at scaleDemonstrated ownership of system-level design decisions and their consequencesStrong written communication: design docs, technical proposalsTrack record of mentoring and elevating other engineersComfort operating with ambiguity and defining the problemAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance (U.S.
citizen)

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $118095 - $200762
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
