Description

Python Software Developer – Hedge fund – Oxford Python Software Developer is required for exciting and innovative Hedge Fund based in Oxford. The successful python software engineer will be joining the talented and driven engineers in the execution team, working on company’s custom order management system. The successful Python software engineer will be working closely with the quantitative researchers and alongside other extremely talented and driven engineers to build and support systematic trading models. You will be involved in all aspects of software development for company's data ingestion and distribution platforms, position tracking, monitoring and reporting systems. You will be joining a tight-knit team of research mathematicians, computer scientists and trading analysts at the top of their chosen fields. Essential Skills 1st class or or a 2:1 from Oxbridge Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Statistics, Physics or demonstrable experience.Some experience with large Postgres databases (5TB+) would be nice to have2+ years experience in Python programming, SQL, PandasFamiliarity with Linux, bash scripting and version controlPassion for writing high-standard, modern, robust and well-tested codeTCP/IP networkingLow latency systems, C++ programming and FIX messaging protocol is a nice to have.
