DevOps Engineer – E-Commerce Dubai, UAE | Permanent Package: AED 18,000–23,000 per month, depending on experience. Key Requirements – Please Review Before Applying 5+ years’ experience within DevOps, SRE, Cloud Infrastructure or Systems AdministrationStrong hands-on experience across AWS and/or GCP production environmentsPrevious e-commerce / digital commerce experience (MUST HAVE)Hands-on exposure to Magento / Adobe Commerce or comparable commerce platforms such as CommerceTools, Salesforce Commerce Cloud/Demandware, Spryker or PrestaShop highly desirableExperience supporting high-availability, mission-critical, customer-facing platformsStrong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, ideally Terraform and/or CloudFormationExperience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker and container orchestration such as Kubernetes, ECS or EKSStrong monitoring and observability experience using tools such as New Relic, Datadog, CloudWatch, Grafana and/or PagerDutyProven experience managing production incidents, root cause analysis and platform performanceStrong understanding of networking, CDN, load balancing, DNS, security, backup and disaster recoveryComfortable taking significant ownership within a lean, highly autonomous DevOps environment What You’ll Work On Architect, maintain and optimise AWS/GCP cloud infrastructureBuild and maintain automated CI/CD pipelinesManage infrastructure through Terraform, CloudFormation and other IaC technologiesSupport containerised environments using Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKSDevelop proactive monitoring, observability and alerting frameworksTroubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysisImprove platform availability, scalability and performanceSupport Magento / digital commerce infrastructure and high-traffic production environmentsManage and optimise CDN configurations including CloudFront, Cloudflare, Akamai or FastlyContribute to cloud cost optimisation, security hardening, backups and disaster recoveryExplore modern AI-assisted DevOps, intelligent automation and AIOps practices Who Will Thrive Here? We’re particularly interested in engineers coming from environments where downtime has a genuine customer and commercial impact. E-commerce / digital retail experience is the strongest match, but backgrounds within banking, fintech, telecommunications or other mission-critical technology environments will also be considered. You’ll need to be technically hands-on, highly self-sufficient and comfortable taking ownership when production needs attention — including occasional critical incidents outside normal working hours. For an exceptional profile, there is flexibility to elevate the position to Senior Engineer level with an increased package.
