Fortaegis is a fast-scaling, highly ambitious and cutting-edge semiconductor company.
We are looking for a CI/CD Build Engineer to own and operate the GitLab CI/CD ecosystem that builds FPGA bitstreams, firmware, and application binaries.
This role ensures that everything produced by the hardware, firmware, and application teams can be built, packaged, and versioned automatically and prevents the building from being inconsistent, time-consuming, and dependent on manual work from developers.

Key contribution:
Provides reliable, automated pipelines that generate FPGA bitstreams, firmware images, and application binaries.Ensures all artifacts are reproducible, traceable, and ready for deployment by the integrator.
Job Requirements
Strong experience with GitLab CI or GitHub Actions–style pipelines.Expertise in build systems (Make, CMake, Yocto, or Petalinux).Strong Linux system administration skills.Containerization (Docker/Podman).Scripting: Python, Bash, Ansible.Familiarity with FPGA tooling automation such as Tcl.Knowledge of DevOps culture, infrastructure-as-code, and deployment automation.Strong documentation practices.

Job Responsibilities
Maintain GitLab repository, runners, caching, and shared build infrastructure.Build and maintain FPGA build flows (Vivado/Vitis), cross-toolchains (ARM GCC), Yocto/PetaLinux, and firmware build systems.Create multi-stage pipelines that build hardware, firmware, and application stacks then package them into unified artifacts.Implement reproducible builds and artifact versioning.Monitor pipeline performance and optimize for build time and reliability.Maintain build-related Docker images, scripts, and infrastructure-as-code.Release management.
