Description

Azure Cloud Engineer Location: Bristol (City Centre) - Hybrid Working Salary: £70k + bonus + benefits We’re working with a global business in Bristol looking to hire an Azure Cloud Engineer to help manage and evolve their Azure cloud platform. You’ll join a small cloud and infrastructure team, where you’ll have real ownership of the Azure environment and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the platform. The role offers strong autonomy and the chance to influence how the cloud estate develops as the business continues to modernise its infrastructure. Key responsibilities Own and manage the organisation’s Azure cloud environment, ensuring it remains secure, reliable and well-optimisedLead improvements to the cloud platform, helping modernise legacy workloads and reduce reliance on VM-based infrastructureDesign and implement automation and infrastructure-as-code to improve consistency and reduce manual deploymentsWork with software engineers to improve deployment processes and hosting environments for cloud-based applicationsStrengthen monitoring, alerting and operational visibility across the Azure environmentImprove platform resilience, backup and disaster recovery capabilitiesIdentify opportunities to optimise Azure usage and reduce cloud costsContribute to the ongoing cloud roadmap and architecture decisions Skills & experience Strong hands-on experience working with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and platform servicesExperience managing Azure networking, including VNets, firewalls, private endpoints and routingExperience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep or similar)Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments in Azure DevOps or similar toolingExperience working with monitoring, logging and observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics or Application InsightsStrong troubleshooting skills across cloud infrastructure Nice to have Experience with container platforms (AKS or Docker)Exposure to Azure security tooling or governance frameworksAzure certifications Other details & benefits Bristol city centre officeHybrid working - Ideally 2 days per week onsite, however further flexibility can be discussedAnnual discretionary bonus25 days holiday (increasing with service) + birthday leaveEmployer pension contributionLearning and development support Apply If you’re an Azure engineer looking for a role where you can take ownership of a cloud platform and make a real impact, apply today!
