Description
DevOps Engineer (Azure)
A fantastic opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join a well-established technology company delivering secure, scalable software solutions within a highly regulated environment.
This role will support DevOps and infrastructure functions, contributing to automation, improving deployment processes, and helping ensure the reliability, security and performance of critical systems.
You will play an active role in supporting DevSecOps adoption and the evolution of both cloud and on-premise platforms, working closely with more senior colleagues.
Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure is essential for this role.
Location: Leicestershire.
Hybrid working is available with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.
Easier if you drive, but public transport options are available from Leicester & Rugby (Candidates seeking fully remote work will not be suitable)
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum + benefits
Requirements for DevOps Engineer:
Strong commercial experience with Microsoft Azure is essentialAt least 3 years' commercial experience in a DevOps roleStrong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or Azure DevOpsUnderstanding of networking, security and system administration principlesExperience with Azure networking and cloud infrastructure managementKnowledge of containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and KubernetesFamiliarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python and/or BashExcellent troubleshooting, communication and documentation skillsEligibility to obtain UK security clearance
Responsibilities for DevOps Engineer:
Support the design, implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient and secure software deliveryAdminister and optimise Azure and on-premise application environmentsImplement and maintain monitoring, logging and alerting solutions across business-critical systemsSupport the embedding of security best practices throughout infrastructure, applications and deployment processesDevelop scripts, tooling and automation solutions to improve operational efficiencySupport the full application lifecycle, including troubleshooting and resolving deployment issuesManage incidents and requests in accordance with the ITIL framework
