Boston Link is supporting an established iGaming company in the search for a Senior Web Infrastructure & Security Engineer to join their growing technology team in Malta. This is a hands-on technical role focused on securing and maintaining a large-scale web hosting environment supporting thousands of websites across multiple international brands. You'll play a key role in protecting critical infrastructure while driving automation, performance and security improvements across the estate/ 📍 Sliema (Hybrid) 💰 Up to €50,000 + generous annual bonus 🏡 Hybrid working (3x days a week in office) 🌍 6x months remote working per year The Role Working as part of the Infrastructure team, you'll be responsible for maintaining secure, highly available web infrastructure, implementing security best practices and automating operational processes across Linux-based hosting environments. This role combines Linux systems administration, cloud infrastructure, web hosting and cybersecurity, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working across both infrastructure and security. Responsibilities Manage and secure Linux-based web hosting infrastructureAdminister and maintain WHM/cPanel and Plesk environmentsConfigure and optimise Cloudflare, CDN and WAF servicesMonitor infrastructure security, availability and performance.Implement server hardening and security best practices.Develop automation scripts using Bash and/or Python.Support AWS and cloud-based hosting infrastructureTroubleshoot infrastructure, hosting and networking issuesWork closely with development and DevOps teams to improve platform reliability and securityParticipate in infrastructure improvements, migrations and security initiatiaves Requirtments Strong Linux systems administration experienceHands-on experience with WHM/cPanel and/or PleskExperience working with Cloudflare and web application securityKnowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms.Experience securing web hosting environmentsScripting experience using Bash and/or Pythontrong understanding of networking, DNS, SSL certificates and web server technolnologiesExperience within high-availability production environments would be considered an asset.
