Lead DevOps Engineer (Azure)

About The Role In this role, you will build and evolve secure, scalable Azure Cloud platform capabilities that enable engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions faster. You will work with modern cloud technologies, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and automation to create resilient, secure, and highly available platform services. You will collaborate with engineering, architecture, security, and product teams to drive cloud innovation and support the delivery of business-critical applications. RESPONSIBILITES Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of Azure-based cloud platforms and infrastructureDefine and promote engineering standards, DevOps best practices, and platform architecture principlesDrive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code, automation, and modern CI/CD practices across engineering teamsLead the architecture and operation of Kubernetes (AKS) platforms and containerized workloadsCollaborate with engineering, architecture, security, and product teams to deliver reliable and scalable platform solutionsReview infrastructure designs, deployment strategies, and implementation approaches to ensure quality and consistencyDrive improvements in platform reliability, observability, performance, resilience, and operational excellenceEstablish and promote cloud governance, security, compliance, and cost optimization best practicesEvaluate and introduce emerging technologies, including AI-powered engineering tools and platform capabilitiesContribute to technical roadmaps, platform modernization initiatives, and long-term engineering strategyRemain actively involved in hands-on engineering while providing technical leadership Requirements Strong hands-on experience designing and operating enterprise-scale Azure platforms, including architecture, networking, security, governance, resilience, and observabilityProven technical leadership with hands-on expertise in IaC, CI/CD, automation, Kubernetes, and cloud-native engineeringExperience defining engineering standards, driving platform modernization, mentoring engineers, and influencing technical direction across teamsStrong communication, stakeholder management, and ownership mindsetExperience with AWS and/or multi-cloud (an advantage)Experience with AI platforms and workloads such as LLMs, RAG, vector databases, AI agents, security, and governance (nice to have)Knowledge or experience with NVIDIA technologies, Omniverse, Digital Twins, simulation, GPU workloads, or MCP (nice to have) SoftServe is an equal opportunity employer.
