What You Will Do Design and build backend services that power marketplace matching, routing, and fulfillmentDevelop scalable APIs supporting search, eligibility, scoring, allocation, and workflow automationBuild high-performance distributed systems capable of processing large volumes of real-time decisionsDesign robust data models and abstractions for a rapidly evolving two-sided marketplaceDevelop infrastructure supporting asynchronous workflows, event processing, and operational automationImprove reliability, latency, scalability, and observability of critical production systemsPartner closely with Product, Operations, AI, and Infrastructure teams to deliver new platform capabilitiesBuild reusable backend architecture that enables rapid product iteration without sacrificing quality Ideal Background 2+ years of backend software engineering experienceStrong experience designing and operating production backend systemsExperience building distributed systems, high-throughput APIs, or infrastructure platformsStrong systems design, data modeling, and performance optimization skillsExperience with Python, Go, Java, or similar backend languagesStrong understanding of databases, caching, queues, and asynchronous architecturesExcellent communication and ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutionsComfortable working in fast-moving, high-growth environments Preferred Experience with marketplace, recommendation, matching, scheduling, or search systemsExperience supporting AI/ML-powered products or model inference infrastructureExperience with Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, or TerraformFamiliarity with event-driven architecture and distributed messaging systemsExperience building internal developer platforms or workflow enginesStartup or hypergrowth company experienceStrong ownership mentality with bias toward simple, maintainable system design Compensation and Benefits Competitive base salary: $130,000 – $400,000Generous equity packageBi-annual performance bonusesRelocation assistance availableHousing stipend for employees living near the officeMonthly meal, wellness, and lifestyle stipendsComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverageOpportunity to build core infrastructure at one of the world's fastest-growing AI companiesThis is an exceptional opportunity for backend engineers who enjoy distributed systems, marketplace infrastructure, and large-scale platform engineering while working on products that directly power the AI economy.
