The Role We are seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join a high-performing engineering team. This is a senior individual contributor position for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while remaining hands-on with development. You'll collaborate closely with Product, Design, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams to design, build, and scale a sophisticated cloud-native platform. You'll play a key role in shaping technical direction, influencing architecture, mentoring other engineers, and delivering high-quality software across the full technology stack. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and deliver scalable full-stack applications using TypeScript, Node.js, and React Develop secure, reliable, and high-performance software solutions Architect and implement cloud-native services and distributed systems Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver customer-focused features Drive improvements in application performance, scalability, reliability, and security Own complex technical initiatives from design through to deployment Review code, champion engineering best practices, and maintain high quality standards Contribute to system architecture, technical documentation, and long-term technical strategy Mentor engineers and support continuous improvement across development processes Help evolve cloud infrastructure, microservices, and platform capabilities Skill and Experience Essential Strong commercial experience with JavaScript / TypeScript Expertise with Node.js and React Extensive full-stack software engineering experience Experience designing and building microservices architectures Strong knowledge of AWS or other cloud-native platforms Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs Solid understanding of testing practices, including Test-Driven Development (TDD) Experience optimising application performance and scalability Strong architectural and technical documentation skills (e.g. ADRs, C4 Model) Desirable Experience With One Or More Of The Following Go (Golang) Java Rust C# Dart SDK, API, or CLI development Building security-focused, privacy-first, or highly regulated software platforms About You You'll likely be someone who: Is an experienced full-stack engineer with strong technical depth Enjoys taking ownership of complex engineering challenges Has a passion for designing scalable, cloud-native systems Writes clean, maintainable, and well-tested code Thinks strategically while remaining hands-on Enjoys mentoring engineers and raising engineering standards Thrives in collaborative, fast-paced technology environments Communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Whats on Offer Hybrid working model Flexible working hours Unlimited annual leave Competitive salary and benefits package Learning and development budget Home office allowance Mobile phone allowance Sports and wellbeing membership Opportunity to work on technically challenging products with modern technologies High levels of ownership and autonomy within a collaborative engineering culture
