They are seeking a forward-thinking Cloud & Kubernetes Architect to shape the future of our cloud infrastructure and containerized platform architecture. Role Summary As a Lead Cloud Architect, you will drive the design, implementation, and governance of our enterprise-wide cloud environment. You will bridge technical vision with execution by defining architectural standards, promoting containerization best practices, leading hands-on Kubernetes orchestration, and mentoring engineering teams within an Agile and DevOps ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Cloud Strategy & Enterprise Architecture AWS & Kubernetes Design: Lead the design and deployment of highly available, resilient, and scalable enterprise cloud solutions using AWS and Kubernetes.Microservices Framework: Architect modern microservices ecosystems utilizing API gateways, event-driven architectures, and service mesh patterns.Standards & Governance: Define cloud adoption standards, maintain architectural roadmaps, and establish robust platform governance models. Infrastructure Automation & Security Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Champion IaC methodologies and CI/CD automation to streamline deployments across development and production environments.Cloud & Container Security: Implement security best practices, ensuring strict compliance with enterprise security standards, IAM policies, and Kubernetes Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). Leadership & Innovation Technical Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and leadership to development and infrastructure teams on modern cloud architectures.Technology Evaluation: Continuously evaluate emerging cloud, container, and observability platforms to drive ongoing system modernization. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.Preferred Qualification / Certification: AWS Certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional level required).Kubernetes Certification: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).Cloud Platforms (AWS Expertise) Hands-on proficiency across key AWS core services: EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, IAM, VPC.Proven experience defining and managing AWS infrastructure automation using CloudFormation or Terraform.Container Orchestration & Architecture Deep technical expertise in Kubernetes architecture, cluster deployment, auto-scaling, security hardening, and monitoring.Practical deployment experience with Helm, Kubernetes Operators, and Service Mesh solutions (e.g., Istio).Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & CI/CD Pipelines Advanced proficiency with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure automation.Hands-on experience building and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.Cloud Security & Compliance Strong practical knowledge of cloud security domains: identity and access management (IAM policies), network security controls, and Kubernetes RBAC.Observability & Monitoring Practical familiarity with enterprise monitoring, logging, and metrics stacks including Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.Preferred Cloud Certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional preferred, Associate minimum required).Preferred Kubernetes Certification: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).Total Experience: 8–18+ years of overall experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, or software architecture.Cloud & Container Expertise: 2+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing enterprise-grade AWS and production Kubernetes environments.Architectural Leadership: Proven experience acting as a lead technical architect, designing microservices platforms, and establishing enterprise architectural governance.Enterprise Environment: Demonstrated success working in large-scale, high-availability, or mission-critical enterprise environments.
