The Opportunity: We are hiring for three Staff Engineering roles: Frontend, Backend, and Fullstack, each requiring strong technical depth and product ownership in their respective domains. You will be the first-ever Staff Engineer at a fast growing B2B SaaS startup!You will own and build the next generation of products as a Staff Engineer, driving features from early prototype through to production at scale.You will lead complex frontend development in TypeScript and React (Next.js), building high-performance, real-time, and AI-powered user experiences.You will integrate AI/LLMs into production customer workflows, designing for reliability, trust, and real-world usability beyond demos.You will operate across the full stack when needed, making strong architectural decisions and choosing the right level of simplicity vs long-term scalability.You will raise the engineering bar through code quality, technical leadership, and mentorship, shaping how the team builds and ships software.You will work with high autonomy in a fast-moving environment, partnering closely with Product and Design to turn ambiguous problems into shipped, high-impact solutions. The Skills/Requirement Needed to Succeed: You have 7+ years of software engineering experience, with deep expertise in TypeScript and modern web development across frontend and/or backend systems.You have strong experience with TypeScript, React, and Next.js (for frontend/full-stack roles), building scalable, production-grade applications with a focus on performance, maintainability, and UX quality.You have strong backend or full-stack experience with TypeScript and Node.js, including designing APIs, working with databases (SQL or NoSQL), and building scalable service architectures.You have experience working with distributed or multi-tenant SaaS systems, understanding architectural trade-offs around scalability, reliability, and system design.You are comfortable working across the stack when needed, using TypeScript end-to-end, integrating APIs, building features, and debugging complex production issues.You have operated at a Senior or Staff level, influencing technical direction, writing high-quality production code in TypeScript, and collaborating closely with Product and Design.You’re able to commute to a downtown Toronto office 2–3 days per week.
