About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Python Developer to join our WP Delta team in Vilnius.
This is a core backend engineering role where you'll own meaningful parts of a platform used by millions every day — from architecture decisions to production deployments.
We don't do "simple" here.
You'll be joining a team that handles massive data flows and complex backend logic.

What You'll Do
Your typical week will involve:
Architecture & Development — Designing and building high-quality, maintainable, and scalable software solutions that power real-world operations across 160+ countriesSystem Ownership — Taking full ownership of your modules, from architectural decisions and estimation through to deployment and production monitoringCode Quality — Writing, maintaining, and executing code and test scripts with a focus on reliability, clean structure, and best practicesTechnical Documentation — Creating and maintaining clear documentation that keeps the whole team aligned and codebases understandableCross-Team Collaboration — Partnering with your team to define requirements, estimate timelines, and contribute to planning — from weekly sprints to long-term roadmap goals
What You'll Bring
We're looking for a backend engineer who enjoys the heavy lifting of distributed systems, with a collaborative mindset and a strong sense of ownership.

Strong knowledge of Python 3Expertise in at least one async web framework — Aiohttp, FastAPI, or TornadoDeep hands-on experience with SQL databases, including writing and optimizing queriesSolid understanding of RESTful principles and experience designing and implementing APIsPractical experience with Git and version control workflows — branching, pull requests, and code reviewsAn analytical mind that thrives on breaking down complex technical challengesEnglish — Upper Intermediate or higher
Nice If You Have
