Why minka_ is an open platform for publishing money. The platform aims to connect the world's balances and money through the web using shared, connected ledgers. Minka is a lean, purposely small, well-funded Series A startup that is playing the long game. Our vision is to improve the way people interact with money by building the new backbone of the payments industry. If bitcoin is the settlement layer of the internet, we are the clearing layer for the web. Because, Money must flow. What We are looking for a senior software engineer who is excited about shaping a global, scalable payments product. High throughput of thousands of messages per second, effective data management, resilience, flexibility, and extensibility are some of the key topics you will deal with. We value highly motivated, somewhat crazy, and creative individuals. We are selective and take care of our dream team, so you will be well compensated. Requirements You are not just a coder; you are a software engineer with 10+ years of hands on experience building complex backend payments systems, preferably using NodeJs and the public cloud. You love building scalable, low latency, highly available services and developer tools. You have an in-depth knowledge of how computer systems and the internet work, and write great, clean code that can power mission-critical software. You know what a bit is and what bitcoin is. You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computing, or a similar field. Nice To Have Skills Seen Mr. Robot TV show. You are a weekend hacker and run your own bitcoin node.
