Description

The Cloud Infrastructure and Identity Engineer will take responsibility for the proactive and reactive management and maintenance of all cloud and identity infrastructures across the organization. Providing subject matter expertise and support, this role will drive migration and consolidation projects including cloud resources, messaging and identity platforms and will also contribute to the development and implementation of solution architectures. Key Responsibilities Implementing infrastructure changes and maintenance routines; identifying and supporting resolution of operational problems in line with agreed standardsContributing to the development of solution architectures in specific business, infrastructure or functional areasProducing specifications of cloud-based or on-premises components, tiers and interfaces for translation into detailed designs using selected servicesSupporting change programs or projects by preparing technical plans and applying design principles in compliance with enterprise and solution architecture standards (including security)Developing implementation plans for complex change requests; assessing potential risks to the integrity of the service environment and reviewing the effectiveness of implementationRecommending improvements to organizational procedures governing change management, and leading the assessment, analysis, development, documentation and implementation of changesInvestigating minor security breaches according to established procedures and assisting users in defining their access rights and privileges, as well as performing and resolving non-standard security administration issuesUtilizing sustained knowledge in at least one identifiable specialism to provide detailed and specific advice the organization, collaborating with other specialists as appropriateReviewing capacity, performance, availability and other operational metrics, building reports and proposals for improvement and supporting the planning and implementation of installations and scheduled system maintenancePreparing and maintaining operational procedures and providing technical expertise and appropriate information to management. Skills and Experience needed Minimum 5 years’ experience in a full-time senior system engineer roleExcellent understanding of Cloud Technologies such as Azure, AWS, GCP, OCIHigh proficiency in Entra ID and Microsoft 365 servicesStrong understanding of Active Directory Domain ServicesAvailability and willingness to travelFluency in both verbal and written English. Nive to have: Knowledge of cloud security architecture and Zero Trust principlesExperience in Azure DevOps and IaaCManaging third parties providing managed services.
