Our main projects, Xen Orchestra and XCP-ng, cover the entire virtualization stack — from the hypervisor (Xen) and the virtualization platform (XCP-ng) to virtual machine management and backup (Xen Orchestra). As a XAPI Developer at VATES, you will contribute directly to the evolution of XCP-ng, a leading open-source virtualization platform. Your Responsibilities Optimize the performance and reliability of XAPIParticipate in technical decisions and solution architectureDevelop prototypes and technical demonstrations to validate new featuresAnalyze and resolve technical issues identified on XAPIDefine and implement corrective actions required to ensure product stability and performanceProvide application support and maintenance related to XAPI and XCP-ngDelineate the technical roadmap of XAPIDevelop and maintain APIsEnsure the quality, consistency, and security of XAPI dataCollaborate with cross-functional teamsWrite technical and functional documentationPackage and deploy the XAPI component within XCP-ngWrite automated testsCollaborate with stakeholders involved in the XAPI project, as well as with teams from other organizations such as XenServer Required Skills Expertise in the OCaml programming languageProficiency in Git/GitHubExperience with testing environments (Jenkins/pytest)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesAttention to detail and commitment to qualityProactive mindset with a continuous improvement approachCuriosity and willingness to learn new technologiesAdaptability in a fast-evolving technical environment Why join us ? Requirements We are looking for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building reliable software, and contributing to an open-source virtualization platform used by companies worldwide. Bachelor’s degree to a Master’s degree in Computer Science, software engineering, software development, or information systems5 years of experience on development project in langage OCAML or several years of experience without degree.A professional experience in development within an open source environment is appreciated.Fluent English.
