Software Engineer - AI Systems

AICS focuses on providing a SaaS platform to solve real problems in the healthcare industry. We build production-grade AI applications that assist clinicians in real healthcare workflows — combining distributed systems, LLMs, retrieval, and agent orchestration to deliver reliable AI deployed across cloud and on-prem hospital environments. You'll work across our suite of AI-powered healthcare products used by hospitals and clinicians. We are looking for skilled and experienced software engineers to join our team! Responsibilities Design and implement scalable, secure systems across cloud and on-prem environments.Build and maintain high-availability services and reusable frameworks.Design and build AI agents and orchestration services that automate clinical workflows.Design evaluation and observability, and optimize the latency, cost, and reliability of AI/LLM applications.Collaborate with cross-functional teams in agile sprints and continuously monitor and enhance system performance. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in backend development.Strong interpersonal communication, problem-solving skills, and experience with peer code reviews to maintain code quality.Experience in designing, building, and running microservices in a polyglot environment, leveraging technologies such as TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and Fast API.Proficiency in working with PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB.Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, GCP, or AWS.Experience building AI tools or applications. Strong Pluses Experience with search and data pipelines such as Elasticsearch and ETL.
