About the role
We are looking for an experienced .NET Developer to join a small engineering team working on a long-term industrial software project.
The team is developing a system that collects and processes data from production lines, machines, sensors, and manufacturing batches.
The platform enriches this data with operational and business context and makes it available to external client, reporting, and enterprise systems.
The role is primarily remote, but requires occasional visits to the Copenhagen office for team meetings.
Depending on the team’s needs, this may be once a month or once a quarter.
Candidates must be based in Denmark and able to travel to Copenhagen when required.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications and services using C# and .NET.Develop solutions for collecting and processing data from production lines, machines, sensors, and manufacturing batches.Design and optimise database queries and data-processing logic using T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.Build and maintain integrations between production systems, databases, and external client, reporting, and enterprise applications.Enrich production data with additional operational and business context.Work with containerised applications and deployment environments.Collaborate with the engineering team and project stakeholders to define and deliver reliable technical solutions.Contribute to solution design, code reviews, testing, and technical decisions.Troubleshoot technical issues and support the stability and performance of production-grade systems.
Qualifications
At least 4 years of commercial software development experience, including strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET.Strong practical knowledge of T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.Experience working with layered and/or microservices architectures.Experience with containers, preferably Docker.Knowledge of messaging, queuing, or streaming systems such as Kafka or similar.Strong understanding of SOLID principles, object-oriented design, and commonly used design patterns.Good understanding of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.Experience working in an Agile development environment.Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.Good communication skills and professional working proficiency in English.Residence in Denmark and the ability to travel to the Copenhagen office for occasional team meetings.
Nice to Have
Experience with .NET Aspire.Knowledge of the ISA-95 standard.Experience with industrial or manufacturing software solutions.Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems, MES.Experience with Track & Trace solutions.Familiarity with OPC UA in OT, IIoT, or SCADA environments.Understanding of communication and data exchange between enterprise and production systems.
