DevOps-Gitlab Engineer -
Location : Dallas, TX
7+ years This is a Dallas/TX Onsite position.
Mandatory 3 to 5 days work from office Administration experience in multiple complex applications and tools
• Software Configuration Management expertise
• Experience administering GitLab, Artifactory, Xray, & SonarQube
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible
• Understanding and working knowledge of containerization on Kubernetes/Open Shift
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and IBM Cloud
• Strong communication skills and a track record of cross-team collaboration
• Working knowledge of different Software Development Lifecycle Methodologies • Experience configuring and managing GitLab Runners, Groups, Projects, and Permissions at scale *CONTINUE IN COMMENTS* Nice to have skills: A BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience with good scripting/programming skills
• GitLab Certified Administrator
• Recent experience administering GitLab Self-Managed
• Prior software experience with build management, configuration management and/or quality testing
• Experience with SCM practices including Agile, continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) Design, implement, and optimize complex GitLab CI/CD pipelines using YAML best practices
• Leverage Terraform, Ansible, or similar to provision and manage self-hosted GitLab and runners
• Implement GitOps practices to manage infrastructure and environment configurations
• Automate operational tasks and incident remediation via pipelines and scripts
• Partner with application teams to onboard them onto GitLab workflows and best practices
• Harden GitLab for enterprise usage (SAML/SSO, LDAP, RBAC, backup/restore) Develop and maintain clear runbooks, wiki pages, and pipeline templates
• Integrate monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana, ELK) for GitLab health and pipeline performance
• Implement policies and guardrails to ensure code quality, compliance, and security posture
• Troubleshoot and resolve CI/CD or migration-related incidents in a timely manner
