Role Summary: Reporting to the API Product Manager, The API Developer III is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining enterprise APIs and integration solutions that connect Enterprise Resource Planning to internal systems, customers, vendors.
This role operates in a Microsoft SSIS centric integration environment and requires deep understanding of ERP data models, multi valued databases, and transactional workflows.
The API Developer III will be responsible for complex integrations end to end, establishing standards for API and SSIS development, and mentoring other developers while ensuring reliability, performance, and data integrity across the enterprise.
Exciting Work You Will Do
The essential duties and responsibilities of the API Developer III position will consist of, but are not limited to the following:
Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs that expose and consume ERP data from business system, supporting orders, pricing, inventory, customers, and transactional workflowsBuild and maintain SSIS packages to orchestrate API integrations, data transformations, scheduling, and error handlingTranslate complex multi‑valued data structures into normalized API payloads suitable for external consumptionImplement API versioning, error handling and retry logic to support reliable enterprise integrationsDevelop and maintain integrations using third‑party vendors, customers, eCommerce platforms, and internal systemsWork directly with business system multi-value data models, files, and business logic to ensure accurate and consistent data movementUnderstand ERP transactional dependencies (orders, shipments, invoices, pricing, inventory) and design APIs accordinglyPartner with ERP analysts and business stakeholders to validate data definitions, workflows, and integration behaviorEstablish and enforce API and SSIS development standards, naming conventions, logging, and documentation practicesLead code reviews and design reviews for APIs and SSIS packagesMonitor integration performance and proactively troubleshoot data, performance, or reliability issuesEnsure security best practices are followed, including authentication, authorization, and protection of sensitive ERP dataMentor API Developers in SSIS, API design, and ERP integration conceptsCollaborate closely with product management, ERP teams, infrastructure, vendors, and external partnersContribute to long‑term API and integration roadmap planningPerform other duties and special projects as assigned

What You’ll Need
Work Experience: 3 years of professional experience in API development and SSIS system integrationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experienceAnalytics/Computer Skills: Strong analytical and problem solving skills; experience working with MS Office with a heavy emphasis on SSIS for API driven integration; Strong knowledge of REST, HTTP, JSON, authentication methods (API keys, OAuth, tokens); familiarity with ETL patterns, data normalization, and transactional integrity; working knowledge of basic programming concepts and syntax; proven ability to troubleshoot complex data and integration issues across systemsOrganization Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed; ability to work in fast-paced, continuously evolving, and at times challenging environment; ability to work independently and be responsible for solutions end-to-endCross-functional skills: Ability to work well cross-functionally; provides excellent internal and external customer serviceCommunication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present information in a manner that non-technical staff can understandPhysical, Mental and Visual Skills: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
