Description

The company is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer in Portugal who is strongly backend-leaning (โ‰ˆ80โ€“85% backend) to work on high-scale backend pipelines and data-heavy systems. The ideal engineer has proven experience building production-grade ingestion and processing systems, making architecture decisions based on real data volumes, and operating reliably in Kubernetes/AWS environments. Occasional frontend work exists (small UI tasks/new pages), but the core of the job is backend systems design and implementation. Requirements: Requirements: TypeScript + Node.js (production experience)NestJS (strong preference, used as the main backend framework)Strong experience designing backend systems at high scale:autoscaling, HA, performance, resilience, failure modesStrong knowledge of event-driven systems:Kafka-based ingestion/streaming, producers/consumers, pipelines, batching conceptsPostgreSQL / SQL proficiency (deep skills required: schema modeling, query optimization)Kafka (hands-on experience strongly preferred)Redis (working knowledge)Experience working in AWS + Kubernetes environments (production familiarity expected)Practical experience with logs, metrics, tracing to monitor and debug production systems. Nice-to-Have Security domain familiarity (application security / runtime protection / vulnerability management) โ€” advantage, not mandatoryPrior work in data-intensive security platforms or similar high-scale systems
