Web Content Developer About the Role Our client is seeking a Web Content Developer to support the creation, maintenance, and optimization of their digital presence. This role is ideal for someone who leads with strong visual and graphic design skills, and who is equally comfortable bringing those designs to life through front‑end web technologies. You will work closely with marketing, digital, and internal stakeholders to ensure web properties and digital campaigns are visually compelling, on brand, and executed with a high level of quality and consistency. Please note this role is based out of the Edmonton office, and candidates must be located in the Edmonton area. Key Responsibilities Design and produce visually engaging digital and print assets using Adobe Creative SuiteLead the visual design and layout of websites and landing pages, with a strong focus on brand consistency and user experienceTranslate design concepts into functional web pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHPCreate and manage landing page content and digital campaign assetsUpdate and maintain multiple web properties within a custom content management systemProvide guidance on web layout, typography, color theory, accessibility, and visual hierarchyProof, monitor, and debug digital assets including websites, email campaigns, online collateral, and print materialsDevelop and maintain responsive email templates and marketing collateralSupport front‑end environments built on modern frameworks such as React, Angular, and TypeScript, primarily from a UI and design implementation perspectiveCollaborate with marketing and e‑commerce teams to support digital initiativesManage and report on web analytics as requiredLiaise with internal stakeholders and external vendorsEnsure compliance with branding standards, advertising guidelines, and regulatory requirementsProvide light copywriting support when requiredPerform other related duties as needed Skills and Competencies Strong visual design skills with a well‑developed aesthetic and attention to detailSolid understanding of branding, layout, typography, and user‑centered design principlesAbility to balance creative execution with technical constraintsStrong time management skills and ability to manage multiple projectsSelf‑motivated with the ability to work independently and collaborativelyClear verbal and written communication skillsHigh attention to detail with strong proofreading and quality control habitsWorking knowledge of web analytics and basic performance tracking Experience and Education Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in digital or graphic design‑focused web rolesProfessional graphic design experience is requiredStrong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is requiredHands‑on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP is requiredExperience working with CMS‑driven websites and PHP‑based templatesDiploma or degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Web Design, or a related fieldExperience designing for web, email, and digital marketing campaignsExposure to modern front‑end frameworks such as React, Angular, or TypeScript is an assetFamiliarity with Microsoft‑based development environments (C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Web APIs) is an assetCopywriting experience is an asset but not required
