Job Title: Java Backend Developer Location: Toronto, ON Work Arrangement: Hybrid-3 Days onsite Employment Type: Contract Duration: 12 Months Domain: BFSI Pay Rate: CAD 48-50 /hour Incorporated Application Deadline: Aug 30th, 2026 SKILLS REQUIRED 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java with strong expertise in Advanced Java concepts, including multithreading, collections, concurrency, and JVM performance tuning. Strong experience in developing Spring Boot-based Microservices and RESTful APIs for scalable enterprise applications. Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server 2019, including database design, complex SQL queries, stored procedures, indexing, and performance optimization. Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven architecture, asynchronous messaging, and real-time data processing. Experience with application integration, distributed systems, and microservices communication using Kafka and REST APIs. Strong understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming (OOP), and Agile development methodologies.
