Senior Node.js Developer

Senior Developer (Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL & GCP) Location: Sheffield, United Kingdom ( 3 days Onsite ) Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Developer with strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to build and support scalable cloud-native applications for enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities · Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript. · Build RESTful APIs and microservices architectures. · Develop and optimize PostgreSQL databases and queries. · Deploy and manage applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). · Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA, and DevOps teams. · Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers. · Drive performance, security, reliability, and operational excellence. · Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments. · Required Skills · Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript. · Expertise in PostgreSQL database design, performance tuning, and optimization. · Experience with GCP services such as Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and IAM. · Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices. · Experience designing and implementing REST APIs and microservices. · Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies. Preferred Skills · Experience with NestJS, Express.js, Prisma, TypeORM, or Sequelize. · Exposure to Terraform or Infrastructure as Code. · Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools. Qualifications · Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. · Experience working within UK-based enterprise delivery environments preferred.
