Back End Developer

We are looking for a Back End Developer to support the design, development, and maintenance of reliable software solutions for a manufacturing environment in Overland Park, Kansas. This role focuses on building scalable application logic, improving system performance, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver dependable digital tools. The ideal candidate brings strong coding fundamentals, a practical approach to problem-solving, and the ability to contribute to both new development and ongoing enhancements. Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain server-side applications that support business operations and production-related systems. • Build efficient APIs and backend services that integrate with internal platforms and user-facing applications. • Write clean, well-structured code while following established development standards and best practices. • Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes to improve stability. • Collaborate with front-end developers, analysts, and stakeholders to translate functional needs into technical solutions. • Optimize application performance, scalability, and security through thoughtful design and regular code improvements. • Participate in testing, code reviews, and deployment activities to help ensure high-quality releases. • Document technical designs, processes, and support procedures to aid maintainability and team knowledge sharing. • Extensive experience in backend software development with strong programming fundamentals. • Working knowledge of JavaScript and the ability to collaborate effectively with front-end technologies such as React.js, HTML, and CSS. • Familiarity with modern development frameworks, application architecture, and API design principles. • Experience diagnosing software defects and resolving performance or reliability issues. • Understanding of source control practices, testing methods, and secure coding standards. • Ability to manage priorities in a collaborative environment and communicate technical concepts clearly. • Background supporting application development within a manufacturing or industrial setting is beneficial.
