Staff Backend Engineer About the job TCP is partnered with a well-funded, high-growth startup to hire a Staff Software Engineer who will help scale the company's core backend infrastructure and data platform. This engineer will own highly scalable backend services built primarily in Go and Python, tackling complex challenges around distributed systems, large-scale data infrastructure, database architecture, and production reliability. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced startup environments, enjoys solving ambiguous technical problems, and is passionate about building systems that can scale alongside rapid customer growth. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and scale backend services in GoLang.Own critical data infrastructure, including Postgres architecture, production data migrations, and optimization for large-scale workloads. What We're Looking For Deep expertise with Go, distributed systems, Kubernetes, and building highly available production backend systems.Extensive hands-on experience operating PostgreSQL at scaleStrong systems mindset with experience across infrastructure, cloud platforms, observability, and the ability to step into adjacent areas such as Python-based ML systems or infrastructure when needed.
