← Careers Full-time Zagreb or Remote AI-augmented Engineering AI Engineer We're looking for an AI Engineer to embed into high-impact US and EU engagements. You'll design, build, and maintain production AI systems — from LLM pipelines and RAG to intelligent agents and eval frameworks — with full ownership of the services and code you produce. Every engagement moves us closer to the infrastructure we're actually here to build. What you'll do —Design and ship production-grade LLM pipelines — RAG, agents, tool-use and multi-step reasoning — optimised for reliability, latency and cost.—Own your code end-to-end: design, implementation, deployment, and observability.—Build automated evaluation and red-teaming harnesses to measure model quality, safety and regression.—Instrument AI systems with observability tooling — track latency, cost and hallucination rate — and respond to production incidents.—Maintain a general overview of system interactions and dependencies across the entire platform.—Work within an agile framework in close collaboration with product and engineering — sprint planning, retros, daily standups.—Drive AI-augmented development practices: automated testing, code review assistance, documentation generation and intelligent debugging. What makes you a strong fit —3+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 1 year on production AI/ML or LLM systems.—Python development and data pre/post-processing pipelines.—Hands-on experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Mistral or open-source) in production settings.—Experience with vector databases, embedding models and RAG architectures.—Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, system design, and distributed systems.—Strong written and spoken English — you will communicate daily with US-based teams. Nice to have —Experience with Python AI libraries: LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, Agents SDK.—Docker, Kubernetes and LLM/RAG in production.—Fine-tuning / RLHF, computer vision, or AI in safety-critical or real-time domains.—Vector DBs: ChromaDB, Azure AI Search or similar.—CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Canary deployments.
