Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per year
Experience: 2–5 Years
Note: Candidate is required to travel to London twice a week for onboarding and training.
Job Summary
We are looking for a Big Data Developer to join our growing engineering team and contribute to the design, development, and optimization of large-scale data processing solutions.
This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in Python, Big Data technologies, and distributed data processing frameworks who are passionate about building scalable, high-performance data platforms in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable Big Data applications and data pipelines.Build and optimize large-scale data processing solutions using modern Big Data technologies.Develop high-performance applications using Python and Java.Process, transform, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical data solutions.Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.Ensure data quality, reliability, and scalability across data platforms.Follow software engineering best practices and Agile development methodologies.
Required Skills & Experience
2–5 years of experience in Big Data or software development.Strong hands-on experience with Python (mandatory).Experience with Java.Experience working with Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Hive.Good understanding of distributed data processing frameworks.Experience working in Agile environments.
Nice to Have
Experience with Scala.Exposure to Kafka or other streaming technologies.Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field.
Additional Requirements
