About The Role
The Thüringer Aufbaubank is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) to join its dynamic IT team.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of managing and optimizing the bank’s web infrastructure, ensuring seamless deployment, integration, and operation of digital solutions.
You will work closely with software developers and system administrators to implement and enhance DevOps practices, automate workflows, and maintain high availability and security standards for critical web applications.

Qualifications

Proven expertise with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools such as GitLab CI, Ansible, and container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is essential.
Familiarity with Java-based web applications, Nginx configuration, and relational databases including Oracle and PostgreSQL will be advantageous.
Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in Linux systems, scripting languages such as Python and Bash, and monitoring tools like CheckMK and Splunk.
Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to adapt to new technologies are crucial.
Excellent communication skills in German and good command of English are required, along with a team-oriented attitude and a commitment to continuous learning.
Responsibilities
Manage, operate, and continuously improve existing infrastructures using DevOps automation principles and Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies.Develop, maintain, and optimize Continuous Delivery pipelines for web applications, including the management of GitLab-CI pipelines and deployment procedures.Collaborate with software developers to facilitate rapid and reliable deployment cycles, reducing turnaround times from development to production.Support the operational stability of web applications by monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and managing patching and vulnerability remediation processes.Implement automation strategies to streamline deployment, scaling, and configuration management tasks.Assist in configuring and maintaining web server environments, including Nginx as a reverse proxy and load balancer.Coordinate with security teams to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices, including vulnerability management.Participate in cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and technological innovations.Document processes, configurations, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members.
