Job Description AWS Cloud Platform Engineer Brisbane Deep AWS platform engineering experience Collaborative and supportive team, hybrid working model Work with modern cloud, automation and Infrastructure as Code technologies About The Role The Cloud Platforms team is responsible for building and evolving Suncorp's AWS and Azure platform, enabling teams across the organisation to securely and efficiently consume cloud services. The AWS Cloud Platform Engineer (known internally as a Systems Engineer) focuses on AWS platform engineering, landing zones, governance, automation and Infrastructure as Code. You will help deliver secure, scalable and reusable platform capabilities that improve cloud adoption, strengthen security and governance and enhance the developer experience. Working across AWS networking, identity, security, platform services and automation, you'll contribute to the ongoing evolution of Suncorp's cloud capabilities while supporting operational excellence across the AWS environment. What You'll Do Design, build and improve AWS platform capabilities across the enterprise Develop and maintain AWS Landing Zones and organisation management capabilities Implement AWS governance using control policies and permission boundaries Develop reusable Terraform modules and Infrastructure as Code solutions Support platform monitoring, observability and operational excellence Create and maintain engineering documentation, standards and operational procedures Identify and manage platform security, compliance and operational risks What You'll Bring Experience working as an AWS Platform Engineer, Cloud Engineer or DevOps Engineer Strong experience designing, building and supporting AWS environments at scale Strong Terraform experience, including reusable module development Experience building Infrastructure as Code solutions and automation frameworks Strong understanding of AWS governance, organisation management and networking & security controls Familiarity with AI as a programming and productivity assistant Technical Skills AWS Landing Zones AWS Policy AWS Networking & Security Management Groups RBAC AWS SSO Terraform Monitoring and Observability What You'll Enjoy Access our award-winning Shine platform – your central hub for exclusive perks, wellbeing support, career development, and recognition.
